“Angel Bui” Donated 40 Million to Southern Students Learning to Become Teachers
Former Miss Universe Bui Porntip Nakhirunkanok Simon continues to win the love and affection of Thai people and Thai children. On her more recent trip from the US to Thailand, she worked on her mission to help Thai children by launching the project “Creating Teachers in Hometown Scholarship.”
According to Angels Wings Foundation International’s objectives, the project will offer as many as 60 scholarships, worth more then 40 million Baht, to train local teachers. Bui Porntip Nakhirunkanok hopes that students in southern Thailand will evolve into teachers who understand the problems in their hometowns and inherit their own culture and traditions. Phuket will be the first province in which the project operates.
In order to qualify, students must have a GPA of not less than 3.0, have dreams of becoming teachers, and share the Foundation’s love and respect for local culture.
